What's new

Every change we make to Arthur, written down here with the date it landed. Newest first.

Nothing of that kind yet.

The public site, and the small print

Everything a business should be able to read before trusting you with their day.

  • New Privacy policy, terms, cookie policy, and a data processing agreement for businesses that need one.
  • New A status page showing whether each part of Arthur is working right now.
  • New This page, so every change is written down instead of quietly appearing.

Nothing gets written halfway

  • Improved Records are now written in one go, so a crash or a power cut cannot leave half an order behind.
  • Fixed Saving no longer fails quietly when the machine is busy. It retries, then tells you.

Password resets, email confirmation, and a tougher front door

If someone forgets their password at the start of a shift, they can now fix it themselves instead of waiting for the owner.

  • New Ask for a reset link by email and set a new password yourself. The email shows the time and place it was requested from.
  • New Confirm your email address after signing up. It never blocks you from working.
  • Improved A strength meter appears while you pick a password. It guides, it never refuses.
  • Improved Repeated wrong passwords are slowed down to shut out guessing, without ever locking out a real person.
  • Fixed Signing in took longer for real addresses, which quietly revealed who had an account.

Plans, and seeing who is actually working

  • New The plan ladder: Free, Small, Medium, Large, and Group. Every plan has every feature.
  • New A live count in the top bar showing how many people are clocked in against your limit.
  • Improved Workspace cards show how many people are on shift, so you can see which place is busy without opening it.
  • Fixed Plan names appeared in English on an otherwise Greek screen.

Arthur got its face

  • New The Arthur logo across the sign-in screen, the home screen, and the top bar.
  • Fixed On the light theme the logo used to vanish and fall back to plain text.

Clocking in is what counts

Signing in is free and always will be. Working is the thing that uses a seat.

  • Improved Signing in shows only your own page. Clocking in opens the rest of the workspace.
  • New When a workspace is full, the next person is told clearly instead of hitting a dead end.
  • Improved The owner is never blocked from their own workspace, whatever the count says.
  • Improved A seat frees itself shortly after someone stops working. No one has to remember to clock out.

Courses, split bills, and tips

The parts of service that used to live on paper or in someone's head.

  • New Hold part of an order back and send it through when the table is ready. Nothing held is billed or taken from stock until it is fired.
  • New Split a bill between people, and tag each part as cash or card.
  • New Pool tips across a shift and see the share per person.
  • Fixed Editing an order put the wrong amount back into stock.

Roles that actually mean something

  • New Roles suited to the kind of business you run, set per person.
  • Improved People see only the parts their role allows, instead of everything.
  • Fixed Someone removed from a team kept access until they signed out.

Greek, properly

  • New The whole app in Greek, not just the labels.
  • Improved Each person picks their own language, so an owner and a cook can differ.
  • Fixed Some buttons stayed in English after switching language.

Arthur, rebuilt from scratch

Arthur was rewritten around one job: running the day of a real business, and nothing else.

  • New Workspaces, roles, and joining a team with a code.
  • New The full order flow, from a phone on the floor to the station that makes it.
  • New Items, prices, and stock that comes down as you sell.
  • Removed Everything that was not about running a business. The app does one thing now.
